The following are the rules and regulations governing the Special examinations:
The University grants special exams when the unit is next on offer.
If the following reasons apply, the student will sit the exam without having to pay any extra fee
The tuition fees for the unit is fully paid and the student fees account is up to date
The student could not sit the exam due to a medical reason supported by a medical practitioner's note, bereavement of an immediate family member during the exam period, or the student was representing the University in a duly authorized event where Senior Management and the Academic Registrar had given approval.
Failure to do exams due to fees arrears is not sufficient reason to be granted special exams.
The Vice Chancellor or the Deputy Vice Chancellor may approve special exams for other reasons but such exemptions will attract special exam fees which will be set and reviewed by the University Management from time to time.
